We have seen a marked improvement in the removal of metal filings and swarf. The materials do not damage the precision cutting tools which has resulted in significant cost savings due to increased production & reduced downtime.
Keith Dunn, Manufacturing Improvement Leader, Rolls Royce Plc
Rolls Royce contacted our Technical Solutions team to assist with the development of a specialist brush which would reduce the build up of waste materials.
A build up of waste materials reduces the performance of cutting tools. Traditional cleaning methods have caused damage to tools and significant machine downtime.
Through consultation with Rolls Royce a range of high specification synthetic materials were tested and approved for use.
A range of brushes sizes and material grades were then configured to optimise the cleaning performance. Brushes were then colour coded to enable easy identification and replacement.
